BY HOLLY BOURNE
A wild ride with self-reflection as a destination.
Audrey Winter's life has become a mess. Her father left her mom, his family for his newly pregnant girlfriend. Continually, Audrey's boyfriend dumps her. Between tackling her's and her mom's emotional stability, Audrey quits Drama, her friends and hope. The only thing that keeps her away from spiralling down the insanity is Flicker Cinema, her job. Her nights are filled with difficult customers, cleaning the theatre, unrepentant flirt Harry Lipton.
At first, Audrey shuts Harry's advances. Soon as they spend more time together, Audrey and Harry fall into the whirlwind of romance and crash into the cliched high-drama fight. But the self-realisation of Audrey leave us mindblown with reality and realise what love actually is besides the first spark, shy gazes and sweet kisses.
Holly Bourne has written a book that gives life to people's thought on love reality. I love the book for the ending. If it was any other way, I would have been disappointed.
